What the public build can access
The public build can access only the files, folders, exports, and backups that you explicitly select through standard macOS file-picking flows.
NotesRetrieval indexes and searches only the exports, backups, PDFs, scans, and Finder-visible folders that you explicitly choose on your Mac.
The public build can access only the files, folders, exports, and backups that you explicitly select through standard macOS file-picking flows.
The public build does not crawl private Apple Notes storage, does not require an online NotesRetrieval account, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Indexing and OCR run locally on your Mac. Search results, previews, provenance, and open-original behavior are generated from local content and local app state.
Revasser does not receive the contents of your notes through the public build as part of normal indexing and search use. Local app data and user-selected source references stay on your Mac unless you choose to delete them or manually share something yourself.
You choose which folders, exports, and backups the app can index. If you do not select a source, the app does not index it. You can remove sources from the app and delete the app’s local data from its Application Support / sandbox location on your Mac.
